HIS STORY: THE MUSICAL

A new musical. A timeless story. A creative brief that pushed us to dig deep and aim high.

We were commissioned to create the key art for His Story: The Musical, a contemporary pop musical reimagining the life of Jesus for a new generation. With its bold musical style and crossover appeal, the show set out to engage audiences from all walks of life, whether spiritual, secular or somewhere in between.

From the beginning, the task was clear but complex. The artwork needed to feel modern and meaningful, striking a balance between reverence and relevance. It had to stand confidently alongside other Broadway productions, while remaining visually iconic in its own right.

After exploring a wide range of concepts, we returned to the power of simplicity. A thorn crown. A bold title. A deep, atmospheric backdrop. The final image is both elegant and evocative, offering a quiet invitation to something much bigger.
